• The bar consists of a stainless steel tube, inside which two solid aluminum pins move, externally coated with hard chrome.
• The thick, solid aluminum is very strong, but at the same time light enough so that it does not weigh down the (weaker) hinges on certain doors.
• The chrome coating on the pins reduces friction and provides a quality feel when operating the bar.
• There are internal ball bearings in the system for further friction reduction in the pins’ movement.
• The external mounts/brackets through which the pins pass are made of stainless steel and feature eccentric adjusters.
• The pins are secured in place with hand-tightened screws.
• The various components are packaged in separate bags to avoid scratching one another.
